Earth on Heaven Farnham
Farnham “constellation”

If our steps transform into a trail of stardust, our world on Earth into galaxies and the sound we perceive folds itself into new forms… what remains then?

The ‘Earth On Heaven’ project uses the data from the physical space to form a digital environment which reflects the individual’s “universe” on Earth.

Earth on Heaven builds on existing data visualisation methods to create an aesthetic and contemplative space.

When looking at the ceiling of the installation space the visitors can observe stationary stars that represent locations chosen by those taking part in the project. The size of the stars depends on the importance each place holds for the particular person who chose it.

Each traveling star tracks the recorded movement of the person in their physical environment.

Sound is composed from the field sound samples recorded by each participant during their journey, and is triggered when their traveling star passes through the location where the sound was recorded.
